To Our Clinical Community,

We hope that each of you have been finding bits (maybe even big ones!) of joy and ease during these stressful and uncertain times. You have been on our minds these last couple of months.

By now, you have likely heard the official news about the future of Joy. If you have not seen that communication, you can access it here. Be sure to check it out and stay tuned for important goodbye party details!

As a Clinical Program, we have some specific things to clarify with you as well. While other programs at Joy are winding or have wound down, the clinical team will still be running and providing services under Joy until 12/31 with our final sessions being held no later than 12/19. We will be providing telehealth sessions and sessions at our Quince office until the bitter end! In person sessions at Sloan’s Lake with Jamie will end with the month of November at which time, you can switch to Quince or telehealth.

We, as clinicians and resources, are not going anywhere! In fact, we are excited to share with you our private practices where you can still work with each of us should you choose to.

Beatriz and Jamie will be continuing to work closely together at their practice Tender Ember.

Raven is moving into an integrative spiritual somatics approach at their practice Root to Bloom.

Lastly, we want to be sure that you are left well resourced. Please continue to access our Resource Deck. (We specifically want to highlight the Trans Continental Pipeline, Yarrow Collective, Four Corners, Their House, Colorado Name Change Project, Queer Med, Folx Health, and Transgender Law Center as stellar resources).

Additionally, If you qualify for Medicaid but need help applying, we encourage you to seek support from one of these organizations:

If you do not qualify for Medicaid but need financial support, consider applying to programs that help cover therapy costs:

If you are a current client, please keep an eye out for closing paperwork that your clinician will still be sending out to officially complete time at Joy even if you are following them to their practice.

Though this end is hard, as they often are, we are holding the truth that death begets new life. And we are sitting fully in both with you. We are trusting that we can grow something meaningful and hardy together in this new season.

In community always,

Beatriz, Jamie, and Raven
