Goals

• Advise Joy as Resistance staff members and our Board of Directors as we develop our programs, policies, and events

• Develop leadership skills as you participate in Joy as Resistance’s decision-making processes

• Help Joy as Resistance stay relevant, accountable, and effective in sharing how LGBTQIA2+ youth are experiencing the world

Roles and Rewards

• Share ideas, insights, and concerns regarding various aspects of our organization and the needs of LGBTQIA2+ youth

• Participate in Joy as Resistance community events, fundraisers, Pride month festivities, etc.

• Develop leadership skills, meet school volunteer requirements, build your resume, and make great friends.

Commitment

• Meet 1-2 hours every other month (in-person or online)

• Check regularly for emails from Joy as Resistance and respond within 72 hours

• Attend Joy as Resistance events when you can

Qualifications

• LGBTQIA2+ identifying youth and allies ages 12-24

• Desire to develop leadership skills

• Desire to share your ideas and opinions on our programming

• Desire to work with other youth and Joy as Resistance staff members and Board of Directors
